Excellent hospitality from the two gentlemen at the reception. Strong WiFi-reception. Safe and quiet location in Lapa, where it all happens at night, but which also has a lot of atmosphere during the day.
Breakfast was the simplest from all the pousadas and hostels I have stayed with in Brazil.

bed bugs. i actually met at least 2 other people who had a problem with bed bugs. AC is on ONLY at night (which doesn't reach beds that are near the windows). during the day it's really hot. i saw many little bugs in the shower booth on the first floor- disgusting. poor value for money.

Very small breakfast, no hot water in the showers, strong ventilation of the dorm during the night - very easy to catch cold

location . owner was ok and manager was very helpful
dirty showers , unhelpful receptionists , hostel got flooded and i had to clean up not the staff . i had to leave and pay for a hotel . its prone to flooding with no protective mechanisms on ground floor
